As Dave pointed out above the vertical movement of the swingarm is all in the rubber and not between the spindle and the metal bushings. WebDec 27, 2016 · You may know this but the swing arm nuts are effectively the lock nuts for the threaded pins that locate the swing arm. I could not budge the nuts until I loosened the threaded pins with a hex (Allen) key. Presumably, the nut/pin combination locks the two items together as well as locking the pin in place at the desired position.
