Webb15 juli 2024 · The Invar effect, which refers to magnetic alloys having an anomalously small thermal expansion, has been under extensive investigations over the past century. However, study on the thermal expansion of clusters and their Invar effect is still lacking. In this letter, we calculate the thermal expansion properties of Fe13–nNin (n = 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, … Webb28 feb. 2024 · We find that the Invar effect in BMGs is not just a macroscopic effect but has a clearly observable atomistic origin. It is facilitated by the magnetic interaction of Fe–Fe. As temperature increases, the magnetic interaction counteracts the normal thermal expansion and can even result in a net contraction of Fe–Fe below the Curie temperature.
Webb8 apr. 2004 · Investigating bcc Fe-Co and fcc Fe-Pt(Pd) alloys which exhibit large values of the volume magnetostriction in a certain range of chemical composition and concomitantly an anomalously low thermal expansion coefficient (Invar effect), we find that this behavior is due to changes in the electronic structure induced by the effects of magnetic disorder … WebbInvar, also known generically as FeNi36 (64FeNi in the US), is a nickel–iron alloy notable for its uniquely low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE or α). The name Invar comes from …

Webb1 jan. 1989 · We briefly review the history of the Invar-effect and present experimental data on the Invar behavior of FeNiMn, Fe 3 Pt and amorphous FeB alloys, clearly demonstrating that neither magnetic (or metallurgical) inhomogeneities nor weak itineracy are the origin of the Invar-effect, as believed for a long time. Instead, we will demonstrate that recent …
Webb1 okt. 2003 · FCC Fe–Ni alloys with the nickel concentration close to the γ–α martensitic transition line are called Invar alloys. These alloys show various anomalies in mechanical and magnetic properties. To explain the origin of these anomalies, called the Invar effect, many theoretical models have been constructed [1]. iri road smoothnessWebb8 feb. 2007 · We briefly review the history of the Invar-effect and present experimental data on the Invar behavior of FeNiMn, Fe3Pt and amorphous FeB alloys, clearly demonstrating that neither magnetic... iri road roughnessWebb6 okt. 2024 · We propose an active learning strategy to accelerate the design of high-entropy Invar alloys in a practically infinite compositional space based on very sparse data.
